Amherst Quilters Guild Helps NC Hurricane Victims 2024
Amherst Quilters Guild shipped 27 quilts and 12 pillowcases, all made by guild members, to North Carolina for victims of Hurricane Helene in the fall of 2024. Keepsake Quilts, a quilt shop in NC delivered them to those in need. President, Kathleen Karnath prepared the items for shipping that were donated at our monthly AQG meeting. We continue to make more to send in the following weeks to North Carolina and Florida. The guild makes quilts for various charities throughout the year. They always welcome new members who may wish to join.
