We are kicking off 2026 with a hot chocolate social before the program and the introduction of a monthly Skill Sharing Session, an informal demonstration to enhance your quilting skills. Our doors open at 6:00 p.m. for hot chocolate, and at 6:15 p.m. the Education Committee rolls out its first Skill Sharing Session of the year with Sally Ginsberg demonstrating various methods for making half square triangles. The January Program, “Hexies and Hot Chocolate” will be presented by Mary Ann Braunscheidel. She will discuss how EPP (English paper piecing) is different from foundation piecing, tools used for EPP, and lead attendees through a guided practice to make hexagons (warning: it can be addictive!). Mary Ann will also bring some of her beautiful finished quilts to inspire us. Note: Participants are asked to bring a needle, neutral thread, thimble, scissors, and 5 or 6 clover clips for this hands-on demonstration.
